PORTLAND COUNTRY UNDERGROUND
LAURELTHIRST - www.laurelthirst.com

The band that grew out of the Willie Nelson/Country Music tribute nights: me on electric guitar and vocals, Darrin Craig (Jackstraw) on vocals and acoustic guitar, David Reisch (Michael Hurley, Freak Mountain Ramblers) on bass & vocals, David Lipkind (Woodbrain, SOB) on harmonica, vocals and accordion, Jason 'Tiny' Montgomery on pedal steel and Ben Nugent (Dolorean) on drums. Just a bunch of pals playing classic country music and some songs of our own, we're glad to have a couple of shows each month to share time with you.

A TRIBUTE TO THE ALLMAN BROTHERS'
"LIVE at FILLMORE EAST"

BROTHERS AND SISTER
FRIDAY, AUGUST 21st ~ 9pm
CEBU LOUNGE, HOOD RIVER, OR
SATURDAY, AUGUST 22nd ~ 9pm
DOUG FIR LOUNGE, PORTLAND, OR
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 26th ~ 5-7pm
MUSIC ON MAIN STREET, outside The ARLENE SCHNITZER THEATER, PORTLAND, OR

Once more, we're putting back together our all-star band to recreate the Allman Brothers' famous Fillmore East concerts of March 1971 as immortalized in their famous live album of similar name. Leading the dual-charge of guitars are myself and beloved local axe-slinger Anita Lee Elliott (Viva Voce, Blue Giant, Calico Rose). The demanding rhythm section features Matt Cadenelli (Don of Division Street, Fernando), Jimi Bott (Fabulous Thunderbirds, Woodbrain) and bassist Tim Huggins (James Low Western Front, Moody Little Sister). Keyboardist extraordinaire Steve Kerin (Too Loose Cajun and Zydeco Band, Atomic Gumbo) completes the sextet. As a bonus, harmonica ace David Lipkind (Woodbrain, I Can Lick Any SOB in the House) has been brought in to help fill in the guest harp from the Fillmore concert once more.
